Future development

The battle keeps growing.

The Kickstarter starter set is the first step in a wider Fields of Iron range, with larger army boxes and campaign expansions planned for new forces, scenarios and theatres.

Fields of Iron game prototype

A game system, not a one-off box

Start small. Build an army. Fight a campaign.

The starter set gives two players everything needed for a complete battle. From there, the range can grow in clear, useful stages without making the core game harder to play.

These releases are part of our development roadmap rather than fixed Kickstarter promises. The order and contents will be shaped by successful funding, manufacturing and feedback from the player community.

01

1,000-point Army Boxes

Build a complete national force.

Army boxes will provide a substantial, themed force for a single nation. They will work both as a major expansion for starter-set players and as a direct entry point for commanders who already know which army they want to collect.

  • Approximately 1,000 points of vehicles
  • A balanced mix of armour and battlefield roles
  • All matching vehicle stat cards included
  • Planned British, German, US, Soviet and Japanese forces

Campaign Box Sets

Take the fight to a new theatre.

Campaign expansions will change more than the vehicles. Each box will explore a distinct theatre through linked battles, theatre rules, scenario objectives, new battlefield features and the forces that fought there.

CAMPAIGN 01

North Africa

Desert warfare, long sightlines, exposed manoeuvre and the struggle to control vital routes and supplies.

CAMPAIGN 02

Eastern Front

Massed armour, brutal terrain and linked scenarios across some of the largest tank battles of the war.

FUTURE THEATRES

And beyond

Normandy, Italy, the Pacific and other settings can follow as the range and community grow.

Help decide what comes next
